Workneh Dechasa Education Foundation
A school for Oromia

Nicky and Chris Lopez, whose family were friends of Workneh, Aster and Yadata, have set themselves the challenge of climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours on the weekend of 1st and 2nd of July. Nicky has already raised almost half his targeted amount through running fitness classes.
If you would like to support them in raising money for a school for Oromia click on the image above which will take you to the JustGiving page. You can also set up one-off or regular donations by visiting our Donations page.
Nicky Lopez is a fitness trainer in London. He also was a friend of Workneh and his family. Like us all, he was saddened by the loss of Workneh and he has committed himself to raising money for the school in Oromia and making people aware of WDEF.

In October 2021 he persuaded one of the studio’s where he works BOXX to run a session and on 11th and 12th June 2022 he is running Cycle and Hit and Run sessions at a KXU gym by Sloane Square. These sessions are booked out.
In October 2021 he ran the Paris Marathon and is now planning to scale the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours with a target of £5000.
So far he has raised over £2500 for our charity.
Thanks Nicky!
