Fundraising challenge approaches target.

Nicky Lopez, who has already raised £2500 for WDEF by running the Paris marathon has taken on a new challenge which has so far raised £3466 towards a target of £5000.

The challenge was to climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. With his brother Chris they achieved the challenge within the timeframe in spite of some classic British midsummer weather. The video will give you a feel of it!

Nicky and Chris Lopez achieve the 3 peaks challenge in “challenging” conditions.

If you’re impressed with their achievements Nicky’sJustGiving page is still receiving donations.

We’d like to encourage other supporters of WDEF who are interested in raising funds to build the school in Oromia by undertaking challenges like this to get in touch. Maybe next time there’ll be a larger group sporting Workneh tee-shirts and raising some serious money for the project. Contact us at in**@wo*****.uk.
